Within a two week period, Mac Buege played in three qualifying tournaments for the right to play in national championships - he succeeded in all three attempts.
On Monday, he added the Optimist International in West Palm Beach, FL to his already busy July schedule by winning the District qualifier at the St, Cloud CC. His score of one under par 71 was three shots clear of Tyler McMorrow of St. Cloud.
Mac will be in Greensboro, NC for the US Amateur Publinks Championship on July 10-16. He'll try to advance to the 64 man Match Play during a 36 hole Stroke Play qualifier. From there he goes to Ada, MI for the US Junior Amateur July 17-24. Again, a stroke play qualifier precedes match play. And finally, the Optimist International Championship is held in Florida July 27-August 1. The Optimist is a 72 hole stroke play tournament.
